There are three 1-week camps to choose from, based on the student's age. Students will receive training on studio, audio, camera and/or editing equipment and will learn techniques for appearing on-screen. Each week will focus on the production of segments for TRONGuide TV, a weekly series featured on CCTV channel 22 and cctvsalem.org.

Camp content is student-driven. They will be given the opportunity to choose the type of project they work on and what their segment is about. They are given near-complete creative license and are encouraged to use the medium of television to express their thoughts, ideas, and opinions!

The cost for each student is $50. See below to select a camp and read the rules for all signups.

Dates and times for 2008 camps:

Week 1
July 21-25 (M-F)
1PM - 5PM each day
for ages 8-10 only

Week 2
July 28 - August 1 (M-F)
1PM - 5PM each day
for ages 11-12 only

Week 3
August 4-8 (M-F)
1PM - 5PM each day
for ages 13+ only

NOTE: Week 3 may include an out-of-office field trip and
a longer day on Tuesday, August 5. See staff for details.

RULES FOR ALL SIGNUPS:

All signups are first-come, first-served. There are TWELVE (12) spots available in each camp. Cost is $50 per student. We cannot reserve spots in camps without payment. We accept cash, check, or money order. A limited number of scholarships may be available; please discuss with staff if interested.

All signups require the permission of a parent or legal guardian. Parents will be asked to sign an unconditional videotaping release form for each signup. Please be aware that recordings of students and camp events will be featured on CCTV's channels and the internet. These forms must be filled out in person at CCTV at signup.

In addition, each student is required to answer a few registration questions. This includes things like your name; TV, movies, and music you like; food allergies; special interests; and your t-shirt size. Fill this out and turn it in by July 1st!
